III CONFERENCIA MINISTERIAL SOBRE LA SOCIEDAD DE LA INFORMACIÓN EN AMÉRICA LATINA Y EL CARIBE, 2010

• El eLAC es una estrategia para América Latina y el Caribe, acorde con los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio y la Cumbre Mundial sobre Sociedad de la Información (CMSI), con visión de largo plazo -hacia el año 2015- que plantea que las tecnologías de la información y de las comunicaciones (TIC) son instrumentos de desarrollo económico y de inclusión social. La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe, CEPAL, actúa como Secretaría Técnica de este plan de acción regional, que en su primera etapa, eLAC2007, tuvo 30 metas (2005-2007) y en la segunda, eLAC2010, tuvo 83 (2008-2010). Siguiendo los lineamientos de una estrategia a largo plazo, en la III Conferencia Ministerial sobre la Sociedad de la Información en América Latina y el Caribe, se llevo a cabo en Lima, Perú, del 21 al 23 de noviembre del 2010.   Fuente: http://www.eclac.cl/elac2015/

• The eLAC is a strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the Millennium Development Goals and World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), with long-term vision by 2015 - which states that information and communication technologies (ICT) are tools for economic development and social inclusion. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, ECLAC, acting as Technical Secretariat of this regional action plan, which in its first stage, eLAC2007, had 30 goals (2005-2007) and in the second, eLAC2010, had 83 (2008 -2010). Following the guidelines of a long-term strategy, at the Third Ministerial Conference about the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean carried aut in Lima, Peru, November 21 to 23, 2010, member countries of eLAC2010.
